Like a lotus rising up and blossoming at dawn in the warm embrace of sunlight, we can find enlightenment by rising above ignorance and doubt.
These drops on the flower petals remind us to embrace balance and flow in our spiritual journeys, teaching us to navigate life's energies with grace and poise.
Water droplets symbolize the cyclical nature of life, gently reminding us of our journey of continuous growth and change.

The stars represent the words “jubilate deo” - Sing joyfully to God, echoing in the air, just as Fred Rogers repeated those words over and over while getting ready for his morning swim. These words were so vivid to him that he not only saw the sound as stars but also as reflections on the water. For Mr. Rogers, the belief that he could make a difference was as real as “jubilate deo.”
Inspired by Van Gogh’s letter to his brother Theo about the morning star Venus at dawn and the sun rising in all its splendor, Jenny gazes upon the town of Eden, Utah, instead of the town in Rémy, France, reimagining “Starry Night” at dawn. And feeling compassion towards Van Gogh’s life, legacy, and artistic genius.
An African American dancer gracefully dances the night away on a boardwalk in industrial Detroit, a beautiful homage to Van Gogh’s Starry Night. This scene celebrates the retro art style and the angelic beauty of the dancer, blending history and elegance under the starry sky.

The trees stood guard, their twisted branches reaching for the moonlight. Leaves whispered secrets, and the air held a hint of magic. The witch’s cloak, woven from silk and stardust, trailed behind her as she ascended the hill.
Inspired by Edger Allen Poe’s “Raven”. The moon hung low, casting its silver glow upon the twisted branches of ancient oaks. As ravens perched there, its ebony feathers shimmering like midnight silk. Its eyes held secrets, of forgotten realms and whispers.
On this particular Halloween night, the moon hangs low, a harvest moon, full and luminous. Its light spills over the castle’s slate roofs, illuminating the tree line and the hill in front. Shadows dance across the courtyard between the trees and the castle.

Amidst the shimmering expanse of the Great Salt Lake, there lies a place of quiet wonder—a sanctuary where time slows, and the soul finds solace. This place is Antelope Island, a gem nestled in the embrace of Utah’s rugged beauty.
I cherished spending my summers at his farms, where most days we would take a walk together past a watershed on one of his properties. This painting brings back those precious memories of our morning walks, of the wisdom he passed on and the simple joy of being by his side.
The sun, a benevolent artist, paints the world with warmth, casting its brilliance through the delicate leaves, and petals of dogwood flowers up front.

In this moment, nature’s choreography unfolds, and we are enchanted witnesses to its serene beauty.
Beneath the tree’s gentle embrace, we stand, gazing upward. The leaves, a symphony of yellow, light green, and deep green, sway softly in the breeze.
Sunlight filters through, casting playful shadows on the ground, as if the very air itself dances with light, weaving a delicate magic between each leaf.

Banksy's work challenges us to see the world differently, to question the status quo. This tribute captures the spirit of his creativity and his powerful messages, honoring the profound impact he has had on art and society.

In the quietude of dawn, when the world stirs from its slumber, there lies a delicate grace, bathed in golden light, stands as a testament to divine artistry.
I envisioned a solitary landscape on a moonlit shore, where the Milky Way stretches across the sky, and waves gently kiss the sand. In that serene stillness, the world seems to hold its breath.
It’s the whisper of the wind through the pine trees, or the way the light from a fire filter through the branches, casting dancing patterns in the sky. Or perhaps it’s the comforting thought that, just beyond this stretch of road, lies a Scenic Byway, waiting to reveal the dawns beauty.

The ups and downs are just part of the journey, and through it all, I remain resilient and hopeful. Rain or shine, I’m doing well, and I hope you are too.
You are my support, you are beautiful, and my best friend. I look forward to many more Valentine’s Days with you.

As the sun dipped behind the Buildings, I sat in Bryant Park, savoring the jiffy. The city buzzed around me, yet I felt cocooned in beauty. Time slowed, and I realized that Midtown Manhattan wasn’t just about concrete and chaos—it was a canvas for dreams.
If you ever find yourself in the Metro Slumber, remember this: It’s not just about sleepovers; it’s about creating constellations of love, laughter, and shared dreams.
I found myself standing at the edge of Navy Pier in Chicago. The air was crisp, and the lights of the city danced like constellations against the dark canvas of Lake Michigan.

Amidst the whispering pines and the winding roads of the Idaho mountains, there exists a sanctuary, a haven where time slows, and the soul finds solace.
Forgiveness is such a small word, yet it holds a power that the devil hates it the most.
Where time and nature have etched their stories into a wall. Its surface, weathered and ancient, stretches as far as the eye can see. But true enigma lies in the door that interrupts its seamless stretch.

John Lennon dared to imagine a world without borders and strife. If he had worn the glasses depicted in this painting, they would have seen both the lyrical passion of his song 'Imagine' and the dark realities of violence. This painting reflects the contrast between his hopeful vision and the grim truths of war in Ukraine and Israeli–Palestinian that persist today.
Our friend Billy was one of those angel warriors traveled to where healthcare workers were needed the most during COVID. The face looking up toward Billy (a nurse) represents each of us on Earth grateful for the sacrifices healthcare workers made during the pandemic.
“Daddy changed the world,” she said, her voice a fragile melody that echoed through hearts and history alike. Those four words, uttered by Gianna Floyd at her father’s funeral, became an anthem, a rallying cry for justice.

Pain is one of the three main parts of life. Everyone goes through pain, uncertainty, and constant work. Pain can be dissolved by taking time to slow down. Accepting Pain as part of your life means you earned the confidence to dissolve it.
Love can be fragile and infinite. Endless love is the warm feeling you get when you want someone else to be happy, and linking those feelings together, so that endless love never stops.
Being in the vortex shows you're at one with who you really are. It represents feelings of inspiration, passion, joy, and appreciation. Which opposes anxiety and reverses the feeling of being overwhelmed. Your mind is always spinning, but you have the control of its axis.

My granddaughter is very fond of fairies, so, when I finished this painting and explained to her what I had painted, her immediate response was, "Let's go there!" That was the most rewarding and fulfilling compliment I could have ever received.

I was trying to snap a sneaky picture of Jenny at Starbucks, her favorite place in the world. Hoping to capture one of those spontaneous smiles. When she caught me in the act, she burst into this giggle.
My memory of Jenny getting ready for our wedding. Her hair was perfectly styled. She had not yet changed into her wedding dress, and there was something so intimate and tender about this memory.
While learning to paint faces, I created a portrait of Jenny. Capturing not just her likeness but also the essence of her personality. The process was both challenging and rewarding, as I experimented with different techniques.

Utah snow is light and fluffy, which causes it to melt quickly when the sun hits it. However, when it falls heavily in December, it is incredibly beautiful to watch.

I applied six different shades of purple: the deep twilight of cosmic mysteries, the lilac of distant nebulae, and the regal hue of a princess’s gown. To bring the TIE fighter to life, its wings slicing through the canvas like a comet streaking across the night sky.
Suspended in the azure sky, danced the Delta-7 Jedi Starfighter, a vessel of elegance and purpose.
Amidst the whispering pines of the Uinta Forest in Utah, where ancient trees stretch their limbs toward the sky, a curious sight unfolded. It was as if the fabric of two worlds had momentarily overlapped a cosmic glitch, perhaps.

As Jen and I wound our way through the rugged terrain of northern Utah, the leaves seemed to come alive. Their vibrant hues of green, gold, and burnt orange swirled and pirouetted in the crisp autumn breeze. Each leaf was a tiny dancer, twirling gracefully to the song playing on our car radio.
Memory of my son Zach then 13 years old, and I riding our bikes near the north Ogden trails during COVID. This was a wonderful time for us to slow down and enjoy the nature.
The tree line near snow basin resort is breathtakingly beautiful in the fall. As I was nearing the end of my painting, my granddaughter came around the corner and exclaimed, "Oh, Elsa's forest!" referencing the movie Frozen. This image had truly captured her imagination. In that moment, I knew I had to give the painting to her. Prints available.
